Health and Safety Inspections for Child Care Providers Offering School Readiness

Federal legislation reauthorizing the Child Care Development Fund includes new health and safety requirements for child care providers that receive CCDF funding. In Florida that means all child care providers offering the School Readiness Program must have at least one inspection each year. Inspections began mid-November 2016.

All elements of Florida's Health and Safety Checklists and Inspections rule went into effect July 1, 2017. There is only one exception to the rule and that relates to the active credential requirement based on group size.
